Thought it may be interesting to see what cars people have owned, important to own up to the baddies too. My list starting in 1973 is;
Morris 1100 floor fell out.
Hillman Imp changed engine 5 times clearing out the scrap yard then gave up.
Imp stilleto-should have known better no engines left
Mk 11 Cortina met an untimely end with the front of a bus.
Mk111 Zephyr 6 £20 well spent wonderful car would love another, drank oil though, used a gallon going to Swansae and came back with a Chevy BelAir on a trailer, told the borrower it was a bit thirsty on oil but he couldnt believe it.
Triumph Spitfire MK 111 nice car no idea why it went
Vauxhall Victor FD coke bottle model untimely demise with Ford Cortina, not my fault this time.
Morris 1800 land crab much maligned but acres of space.
Citroen Dyane- dont ask
MK 1 Cortina 1500 super - not very though.
MK 111 Cortina 2000 GT untimely end with squeaky new Sierra not my fault again
Ford Granada 2 litre comfy but boring.
Austin Alegro- I know!!!
Austin Maxi - as above
Rover 3.5 litre coupe needed a petrol tanker behind but lovely car.
Wolsey 1500- loved it so did rust
Austin A35- wilbur- lots of affection.
Opel Manta 1900 fast and appaling handling
MK 5 Cortina better than Sierra that followed.
Hillman Avenger estate, rust loved this too, I didn't.
2 Vauxhall Novas
2 late Ford Granadas one estate, Vauxhall Vetra
Peugeot 405, 3X 406, (along with Vectra and Granadas were caravan towing days.) Renault Megane, Citroen Berlingo and Fifi.
Oh and 4 motorbikes.
37 years 32 cars and 4 motor bikes and Im sure I missed the odd one.

Thats an awful lot of skeletons for one cupboard, K&K!
Were there any cars in the UK that you didnt hit?

Yes one or two survived but I did my bit for recycling as well scrapping quite a few one way or another.

I started with a '78 Triumph Spitfire 1500 bought to restore when I was 16. Sold that before college and bought a '70 VW camper to go around Europe. Then a '73 Beetle which was rotten, a '86 Polo until I needed the money to restore the MGA. Sold the Polo and swapped a CD player for 2 R4s, one of which became Florence ('77 TL). Then a '70 MGB V8 restoration, a '90 BX when Florence rusted away, swapped that for a '84ish F6 van, then when that rusted away ran the MG until liner problems when I bought an '84 Polo temporarily then replaced it with a posh '98 Peugeot 406. Got bored with that and bought Rosalie the R4 then a year later Ermintrude. Then the Gordini, and recently an '01 Clio diesel for every day use. I still have the Gordini and the MGA.

My car list is pretty comprehensive too.

There's probably a few more than that, but it was a just sit there and think for a minute moment!

My driving history is 22 years with 1 years ban in between!

I feel better now Pepper, your list is not only longer bya mile in a shorter time but contains some equally horrible cars. I need to add a Vauxhall Belmont - nice car and a Fiat Tipo DGTSX all the bells and whistles, unfortunately all the water leaks and dire engine problems as well, a MK11 VW Golf 1300, reliable, steady and superbly built and a an elderly Morris Minor with fibreglass wings that flapped at "speed".

There's a few more to add to mine, including a SAAB 99 combi coupe that the gearbox went on and a few more that even after admitting some of those on that list, shall still remain nameless! ;)

First ones were American
The following were imports owned in USA:
2 Ford Cortinas:
1 with the 2000cc 4 cyl. Very reliable

1970 Opel GT
Datsun 510
Mitsubishi Colt
1970 Toyota Corolla
1973 Honda Civic
