Hello all,
Since my accident and total loss of my wonderful van I've deliberately steered clear of here for a while for fear of getting all morose.
Nice to see that the love is still running strong for le R4 though.
My current runaround is quite endearing, though I would think it best described as ’reassuringly shit' (I sincerely hope no-one is offended by this phrase). It's a Perodua Kelisa... Central locking and power steering are the closest thing to mod-cons it has but since winning it on eBay because no-one else had even heard of such a car, I thoroughly respect it for its dependability and character.
I hope to be back in the driving seat of an F6 someday, well I've got good condition spare front seats anyhow, plus a new rear bumper for the lucky vehicle!
Good luck and beware of unlikely manouvers by other motorists.

That sounds like a very similar vehicle!
It's Malaysian, but 'based on' (ie copied directly from) a Daihatsu, 989cc and always tickling 50mpg :)

That sort of dismal, super basic car can be quite entertaining. We used to have a 1999 Suzuki Alto (RIP :( ) which despite lacking anything in the way of luxuries and speed was quite entertaining. Had a go in a 3 cyl Nissan Pixo which was the same and did seem to like being quite thoroughly thrashed (on my own private A road obviously...)
