I've just had a pair of front wings arrive from Franzose.
I've noticed members mention that replacement wings differ from originals- in what way?
Is there anything about wing replacement that is tricky?
I've had a read, and looked for the screws, so it looks straightforward...

When working previously in body shops replacing panels on various mark cars always found that NOS/OEM panels fitted straight out of packaging, body lines/size etc perfect, when using pattern parts (ie not from original manufacture ) there used to be a slight difference in tolerances (iirc-/+ 5%) so they can make the parts without encroaching manufactures copyrights, this usually meant that to get the fit looking ‘factory’ there would be some slight adjustments with the pattern parts needed to get fit/body lines looking as good as factory parts, so be prepared to bolt on look, remove adjust , reinstall for the 100% happy look for final installation.

Ooh thanks matey- that's very useful and interesting- I hadn't thought about having to make parts 'wrong' so they don't get sued. I've always felt that as soon as a manufacturer stops making a certain part they should 'hand it over' to someone who will carry on....
