This may be a little elementary of a question but I really need to gain an understanding of the different R's running around in people's conversations. I am also having a little doubt as to what model my Renault is.
About a year abnd a half ago I sent all the serial numbers and such to George Thomson at Whitehouse and he informed me that I owned a 1973 Renault 4 (R1123 800-01). However, whenever I see a list of R4's there is a few other letters usually following (RT, etc.). Is there a way for me to know exactly what kind of car I have?
This has also caused a bit of a problem in my obtaining of parts. While I have received many correct parts, I also have a bag full fo parts that were supposed to work on my engine, according to books, but just didn't fit.
Will someone please clear up my confusion a little?
