Still managing to get out in my GTL but only the five km drive to the supermarket or to my exercise hill. And of course there are lots of people out walking and cycling to squeeze past in the local country lanes and always smiles at the R4. But preparations continue for the post lockdown adventures - top of list is NC500 so motorhome conversion (single berth!) is progressing. This involves removal of passenger seat and replacement by bed platform which will easily accommodate my six foot plus height. I’m constantly surprised how well the car drives given that it was garaged for twelve years or so. Most of my restoration effort was centred on the brakes and suspension. The engine was hardly touched — just fluid changes and new sparkplugs - but it starts instantaneously and runs smoothly and economically. A bit of blue smoke on startup which soon disappears. So good to drive and it has to be to lure me away from my 406!
