Custom steering wheel early models

Hello,

Early 4's dont't have threaded steering shafts so I cant install a normal steering wheel hub - what are the alternatives?

I am tall and to allow people on the back seat, I need space forward and the steering wheel gets in the way. I do have a small one (from that era) that I can fit but early Renault 4 wont take hubs. I can manufacture one but before going that route, has any company done it?

It's an easy job for a machine shop to manufacture a hub with the right holes for the steering wheel and steering column.
