Dashboard lights, front side light and rear tail light ** Edit FIXED! **

Hi all,

Before I start [reluctantly] investigating, thought it wise to consult the R4 hive mind here first!

Dashboard back lights, o/s rear tail light, o/s/r brake light and o/s/f side light all not working. This seems like more than a coincidence to me so I'm guessing they are all on same circuit? I've checked fuses and they all look ok. Haynes Book Of Lies isn't terribly helpful so wondering if anyone can suggest anything?

The individual warning lights on the dash work fine, just the back illumination has vanished. I replaced the o/s/r stop / tail bulb but to no avail.

Any ideas?

** Update - so, I decided to start from the front, checked the wiring. That looked ok. Earth looks reasonable but didn't look like it wanted disturbing at all and given that the headlight, using the same earth, was ok, I figured it was probably worth leaving. Back to the fuses, on initial visual inspection, they ll looked ok. But as soon as I touched the 5A fuse it crumbled. Replaced it and lights are working and all is well with the world!

Have a look at fuse number 8 (the 8th from the right). It might be the fuse, or corroded contacts above and below it.
