Disc Pad Springs

This is an appeal for advise/ or supply.
When dismantling the front discs (Girling) I threw the four disc springs(somewhat corroded) as I thought they would be supplied new with the new pads I was going to fit. Problem is there are NO NEW SPRINGS SUPPLIED WITH THE NEW PADS.
Are these parts essential for safety, if so has anyone knowledge of where I can get some replacements.
Never ASSUME! Wait until the part arrives!

I have never seen pads supplied with these springs in the box, but I suspect the genuine Renault kit have them as they tend to supply everything that's needed (as in the rear brake shoe kit).
Either try your local factor or go to Renault.

....and you are right - never throw the old parts away until the new have arrived. Been there, done it, regretted it!!!!

Renault failed to supply

I contacted the local Renault dealership and they inform me that these springs are no longer available !!! So here is a plea,anyone with some Girling discs on a spare car wold you consider selling me a set of disc pad springs.

Have you tried a motor factor because they may be listed in their Girling / Lucas parts book?

I've noticed that our local Halfords have a selection of disk pad springs but I'm not sure if any are suitable for an R4 but may be worth a look in Halfords.
