True, but I just don't have the space, time (hours in the day or years left), strength or ability to tackle a full restoration. And I've got other 4s to keep going!Sad to read it but 29 years is a respectable age for a daily driver.
Maybe now is the time for a complete restoration? It would be a pitty if the world lost an R4
Threshold trims are fine!Have you destroyed the plastic front door sill threshold trims or will they be travelling with you continually on your F6, sure after 29 years theres a few parts that can travel on with you onwards![]()
If there good after 29 years of stepping into your 4GTL sure they be a welcoming sight in any further 4’s that become your daily if not fitted already, Alls good here, but other things have been holding up getting the van on the road at present.Threshold trims are fine!
Such a shame...still she will yield some good parts to keep other R4's on the road.View attachment 35409
My GTL has finally come to the end of its life - the O/S rear axle mounting has sheared away from the chassis. It's been my everyday car for 29 years, so I can hardly complain!
