Hoping to pick up my new purchase tomorrow, if i can arrange a co driver. From my reasonably thorough inspection it does not look like it will need much beyond a deep cleaning (famous last words!) and a bit of a tune up. But i do like a sparkling engine compartment, so will be removing a lot of hardware and polishing/painting and fettling



That will probably reveal all sorts of hidden surprises.

Unfortunately that supra has gone to a happy new owner, however i could do a 1JZ from my Soarer!

Drove the R4 home today, and quelle surprise it overheated. (I took bottles of water with me just in case) It has not been driven for many moons, part of a deceased estate, and the radiator header tank had corroded. I have removed it and will take it to the local specialist to see if it can be salvaged. It drove home ok after I refilled it, so will have to see if the head gasket et al are ok
