Has anyone tried to convert a Cleon 1108 cc engine to fuel injection.

Is it as simple to just screw an other manifold on.
Or is it major surgery I should not attempt.

In theory...

The early Twingo engine is a Cleon engine with very slightly larger capacity (1149cc) and a simple mono-point fuel injection, plus a mapped ignition, both controlled by the same electronic control unit.
So if you bolted all associated components (manifold, all sensors, distributor, coil, ECU) on the 1108 it should work.

In practice...

It is not sure it wil run OK, as the injection/ignition maps are tailor-made for the Twingo engine...that means also different camshaft, valves, exhaust, maybe head ports...I think the most reasonable solution would be to fit the complete engine management to the 1108, then have the ECU re-mapped on a rolling road dyno (expensive...).
