Hey! I was born in 1986 and my first ride on a car was on a 1981 renault 4gtl My relationship with this car hasnt always been good, due to some non qualified mechanics, the car hasnt always been in perfect working conditions, so when I was younger i wasnt very keen on it. I learned to drive on it and as time went by i learned to like it! When i got my driving licence i got my first car, and guess what it was a 1988 R4gtl LOl. I'm From portugal and I'm dreaming to take my R4 to Morroco one day

Not many people are lucky enough to have had their first ride in a R4 GTL and learn to drive in one and have one as their first car!

Do you have any pictures?

Are there many Renault 4s in Portugal now? I don't recall seeing any in Lisbon when I visited in 2005.

I have some pictures, but I am not using my pc right now as he is not connected to the internet, luckily next week it'll bee. Then I will post some pics! But the painting isnt in very good condition neither the interiors, it doesnt have rust and the engine is running fine

In lisbon there arent many renault 4's , but in other smaller cities there are still many on the streets. The interior of the country is the best place to buy a r4 as there is no humidity theres no rust. You can still find many in mint condition

Hello Diogo greetings from Greece! You have very active R4 fans in your country. When thinking of Portuguese R4s, the really beautiful cars of Fernando and Joao come to my mind! (the orange four-speed and the light blue three-speed).
