How rare is(was) R2106 pickup rhd

sad moment today ,was offerd r4 pickup which had been standing on farm for several years
unfortunately without enough notice as it was on route to the metal crusher in lewes sussex and scrapdealer contact had no way of keeping it for me
i never saw how bad it was so hopefully it was terminal
from memory ithink they were a uk conversion on f4 van as sinpar did a 4wd model seem to remember pickups were available 4wd (this one wasnt)
yes i did think to ask if there were any intact lights for our italian friend unfortuneatly not

Should imagine it's the last one, though I wasn't aware any pickups were converted in the UK in the first place. Do you remember who converted them?

Can also imagine it being completely dead if it had been standing for any length of time in a farmers field. There are the remains of a more modern pickup stranding in a boggy bit around the back of our farm, though I've not been able to figure out the make. Apparantly it was parked up with the intention of repair. Couple more years and there won't be any left to get rid of.

I remember mid-1970s brochures showing F4 pick-ups, but don't think I've ever actually seen one in the flesh. I think it was a factory-produced model though, not an after-market conversion, but I could be wrong. Shame it got crushed.
