HT Leads.

Afternoon. Just a quickie. Is it ok to have 8mm HT leads on an R4 1108cc GTL?

The reason I ask is that I'm having trouble finding 7mm leads in blue, just 8mm. It all started with a tin of gunk one Saturday morning. Engine bay came up spotless including original 'elf' sticker. After powder coating the air filter cover (and pipe bracket) I thought it would be nice to have blue HT leads as the car is turquoise. I'm getting far too anal about this car but I promise to stop if someone out there can answer my question.

If the blue 8mm leads fit and the car starts and runs well then throw caution to the wind and enjoy!!!:eek:

Cheers steve, I'll give it a bash. Wasn't sure if that extra mm would cause some kind of power surge or something. Seems performance cars use 8 mm... well, I can only dream.

Well, if it gave your car a power surge then it will be a bonus - we will all be ordering 8mm leads for that extra 1BHP - looks like a new business venture for someone
