Kangoo rear suspension problem

Anyone offer advise on the following -

2004 Kangoo 1.5dci, drove (slowly) over a bump into a courtyard yesterday to be greeted by a loud metallic bang and the o/s/r suspension collapsing onto the bump stop. Theres nothing apparently wrong underneath although inspection is difficult due to the obvious lowness and it being parked on gravel.

Just wondering if there is anything common anyone knows about?

hi Lobster, i had one do the same last year although it was a lot older kangoo. I found it was one of the torsions bars letting go cos of rust...replaced the whole axle

I'm thinking rear torsion bars too. Looks like I'll need to find a second hand rear axle which probably won't be that easy

Kangoo got a nice 340 mile recovery trip via the RAC yesterday, I got a nice 340 mile drive in a Skoda Fabia Greenline which was a mighty impressive car.
