leaking head

I just noticed the other day that I had a leak from my cylinder head but there is no oil in the water or water in the oil and no white slurry in the rocker cover when I removed it, am I to assume that this is a common problem without any thing to worry about, I certainly don't want to take the head off and replace the gasket as I believe they sometimes leak when replaced.

Don't pull the head gasket if the water and oil are keeping themselves to themselves. Swapping head gaskets isn't a big risk on R4s, but a full day would be an excess for sorting a small leak.

If it's a big leak it will be the rocker cover gasket leaking and the oil following the line of the head gasket, but that's an easy one to fix.

Thanks Malcolm,
I'll have a good look first chance I get, it seems time is something that runs shorter and shorter the older you get, plus I keep forgetting I've a wife who insists on going shopping three days a week!
