Here is something to get really excited about ! i have received these two e-mails today.No need to explain as they speak for themself .If anyone can find any more info on Google let me know .I am quite tempted to get a cheap flight over and have a view


Don't know if this would be of interest to you guys....

Tues 24th January at Marseilles at auction, 4 lots of 2 Renault 4L 4 x 4 petrol, type 112800, 1989 to 92, 50000kms ave, odd dents & rust Guide price 100 euros,

These are reserved for french garagists, like my friend, but they cannot be registered in France, which makes them only good for spares. They could be registered in UK though, if you want them I can provide a bidder, but he will be wanting expenses!

Hi Liam,
These are ex French army R4s which are for sale in the government auction. there are 8 altogether, in 4 lots of 2.
As they cannot be civvy registered in France they will be bought & broken up, which seems a shame. There is no reason why they should not be registered in the UK, though, which is why I thought R4 enthusiasts might be interested.

Does anyone know which bodystyle those cars would have? They do sound interesting especially if they are a bit different.

I wouldn't mind one of these had I not been somewhat short of money. Maybe one day...
 
Did anything come of this?
I am quite interested in doing a '4x4' job on my RHD GTL if it's at all feasible.
