MUDDENFLAPPEN or bavettes!!!!!!!!! A Renault 4 Kickstarter??

I want a pair of those groovy late 1960's R4 rear mudflaps with the old diamond renault logo, or the later '70's ones that just had Renault in a sans-serif script- the ones that came with a little pressed metal support arm that went from the mudguard edge to the chassis rail.

I know, none of you have one to sell. And that's fine. I've long given up on that.

What I am after is some good quality photos (ideally a proper scan of a surviving mudflap, but a good photo with a legible ruler in it might do) and some dimensions of the length and section of the little support strut. Then I can investigate making some new ones.

If you get in on the ground floor and can help with dimensions and scans, maybe I'll be able to make some for you too.

Hi Piet, I can't help with the scans I'm afraid and apologies if I am telling you something you already know, but it might be worth scanning Leboncoin every few days to see if any turn up (just google it). For areas best to scan 'announces dans toute la France' (the whole country). I have come across some hens teeth rare 2cv bits off of the site over the years, although getting the Frenchman at the other end of the email to believe you are genuine and want to sell you stuff can prove a challenge. It definitely pays to send the email in French, and Google translate has proved a godsend for International communications on this front.
