Hi everybody!

Do anybody know of an Oil Filter that may replace the one for a R4?. They are no longer available locally (Mexico City). I just spoted a similar in size for a Peugeot (307, 20x,?, Do not know if thread is the same, size? ). Any info will be very much appreciated.

This site might help - http://www.wixeurope.com/catalogue/index.asp

If you enter you model of car and then click on the filter number then all applications it should list the other cars that use the same filter.

While on the subject I have found this site useful http://www9.qha.com/uk/technical/catalogues.htm for other automotive parts in the UK - the pdf files give the QH part number which most motor factors can then order if they don't have the part in stock.

Be aware that thread size for 3-bearing engines (like your engine) is 3/4" UNF and for 5-bearing engines (and most later Renaults) is 20x1,50 Metric, although filter sealing diameter is the same, later filters will screw loosely over the threads on your engine. Go to www.mann-hummel.com, they have a nice online catalog.
