Old wheels on newer R4s

I believe the design has been changed slightly so they fit the disk brakes and don't catch on the callipers. My Fourgonette rims look similar to the GTL rims only without the oval holes.
 
It is dangerous to fit them up front, as is clearly seen in the link you put...

There is a caliper type that will allow the early style wheels to be fitted without fouling it, and as the stud spacing, wheel width etc are all the same, it's easy to fit them on and not notice that the wheel actually rests on the six brake disc fixing bolt heads! The rest is described by the photos in the above link...the bolt heads act like cutting punches that shear the wheel center off...
All wheels with holes have the correct center flange pattern to be safely fitted on disc brake hubs, including the R5 ones with holes and hubcap thread on the centre.
