Picked up a 1979 CAR magazine from Ebay with 5 Gordini and Sanpar, road tests!!!

Oh and the 5 Gordini was against the Golf GTi and the Talbot Sunbeam Ti, Can you guess which one won?

Oh and the Sanpar was a van conversion brought in by a distributor in Perth.

Imported by Inveralmond Motors of Perth Can find them sponsoring Horse racing in at least 2004 so far...

The Renault 5 Gordini won the road test over the Golf and the Sunbeam, and the Sinpar (not Sanpar my bad) won against the new little Suzuki 4x4 too!

I think no one answered because in our hearts we all knew that the Gordini won.

Just been reading up about Monsieur Gordini. Must have been quite a guy

The engine wasn't a Gordini, they only used the Gordini name in the UK as Alpine was registered by Peugeot/Talbot.

In France it was a Renault 5 Alpine, with a hemi head its a fantastic engine!
