Our van has had a few starting & running issues this winter as it's got colder and damper, it wasn't happy. Thought it was either ignition side or fuel related (latter proved okay). Thanks to folks off this forum who gave tips of things to check & people like Chris who got us the complete ignition side of stuff NOS parts, so after weeks of frustration, fitted everything last weekend, was all straightforward and ...it started first turn! Been on a long drive and it runs really well again. 
. Not sure what particular part or parts was the cause of the issues in the end but by swapping all in less than hour and sub £100 it's all done. Thanks all!
