R5 auto camshaft oil seal.

Hi, does anyone know if the camshaft oil seals for the R5 Type 847 R1229 automatic, is the same size as the manual, as I have an oil leak coming from the camshaft on my R5 auto engine, which has been mated to my R4s' gearbox. The leak is due to the R5 autos' camshaft oil seal being on the reverse of an external bearing which unfortunately didn't come with the engine!
Does the auto cam have the necessary lip to aid the seal?
Any and all info regarding this matter greedily devoured.

Ps Would it be poss to slide the oil seal over the camshaft and into place that way? Rather than having to remove the gearbox once again?
