I am replacing the windscreen on my GTL, are there any tips on getting the part of the mirror glued to the old windscreen off.

Also is there any ajustment in the drivers door catch. Unfortunatley one of the heads on the striker plate has rounded off .I can drill that out and replace it but no point if I cannot adjust the door.

Thanks Gary

Hello Gary - use a thin piece of wood and a hammer to break the seal of the mirror retainer. Use a Stanley knife blade to remove the old glue and rough up the surface with 180 wet or dry paper. Attach to the new screen with Loctite glass glue or similar - always ensure the surfaces are clean and dry. This method also applies to the window catches as well.

There is adustment to the drivers door catch - before drilling try to break the tightness of the screw with a centre punch.
