Just had an email from ebay saying Renault4mads got a 10% discount off all of his shop sales till the end of October.

I was shocked to see that on the forum menu:shock:......but it is true....a whole 10% of Genuine Renault parts....
No R4 parts im afraid ..plenty of service items for the rest of the range

While you are here Andrew (sorry for darting off-topic). I was talking R4s with a very nice bloke at Hagerty Insurance this morning and he mentioned watching an old telly program last night (maybe from 8 years ago) where a light blue 1962 ish R4 sold at auction for an astonishing amount (maybe £6000). I'm guessing that might be the one in the Renault museum rather than Bluey, but having owned Bluey I wondered if you knew anything about this other car.

when i owned Bluey and he was tucked up in my garage all snug i watched a car program on Men and Motors and saw a classic car auction and LOT1 was Bluey...i neally fell off the chair...i recorded it a week later and still got it somewere in the loft.
It sold for £1100ish if i remember. I bought from Liam (you may know him) for around £1800 but never knew of another one as old as Bluey. Bluey did spend a little holiday in Beaulieu (spelling) motor museam.

I wish i knew were he was now...exported i think

By the way did i tell you im given 10% of Genuine Renault Parts in my ebay shop

It must have been Bluey - this was also on Men and Motors. I wonder which car is the oldest running in the UK now. 1966 is the earliest I've seen on the R4 run in Kent.

Hi Guys
This may be old news but I saw at a rally a few years ago a 62' or 63', its also blue with a number plate that is 4 numbers and the letters MG...I thought it was owned by the same bloke as the white plien Air ... but could be wrong...

i remember talking to the Renault Owners club president when i owned bluey and he had the white plien air...he could have that one...

someone must know were bluey went..please...
