Just as we were defining "old Mini" and "new Mini", and laughing at them, now it will be the same for Renault... but that's modern marketing :-(

And if I recall correctly mechanically they will not be different from Renault Sport models, only different fabrics, stickers, etc.

Well I think it's nice that Renault are taking a look back at their past.

I wondered why they ever shelved the Alpine brand, and replaced it with Renaultsport.

There is something very sterile and boring about their current range.

None of their cars are exciting. Their current idea of original is the Kangoo BeBop.

The original Twingo which was a gem, was replace by the current model, which is okay.

I still don't know why they chose Gordini, since Renault had a relatively brief association with that brand. The last Gordini was the Renault 12, and even that was supposed to be flawed.

Renault cars have actually been relatively bland for a long time, with a few exceptions

Ah but the last Gordinis over here in the UK were the Renault Fives, they Alpines in the rest of Europe but here in the UK Talbot held the rights to Alpine so Renault called them Gordini here, and they are held quite dearly by the people who owned them.

I could not do the white stripes like a Gordini but I have added a couple to my R4. It goes faster now!
