Sealing Rear Wings...

Hi all.. just prepping & adapting some new rear wings to fit (85 GTL) and got me thinking about finishing sealant. From what I remember the wings were sealed to the body at the Front and rear (I'm guessing with some form of P.U sealant) then the sealant painted over same as body colour. The Top edge however I've seen left Black and I'm guessing applied after painting? would this be right in terms of close to the Factory finish?

Sikaflex 521 UV Black a PU sealant or Womi Technobond W216 a single polymer black sealant.
The sealant isn't painted over, the black finish of the seams between wings and body is just the leveled black sealant.
