And it went rather well. The car has been sitting beneath a cover secured by straps in the harsh danish winds. Most of the time 20 kg of ice collected on the roof rack
Now a freshly charged battery has been put in, a new petrol filter installed, and the car started right up. The pedals all hang a bit and need some greasing, the brakes also need exercise and inside a lot of fine mildew has grown on some surfaces. Mostly on the plastic areas so seats are fine, everything just need a clean up
The car needs to go to its bi-annual MoT in a few weeks, and then a lot will happen before going to France this summer!
Just to share a bit of my life with the R4
PS: The time is also spend on restoring a Norton ES2 to drivable condition, fiddling with an MZ before going to Holland this year, driving a Norton Model 7 to see if it can go to Austria in august, and now an Austin 7 (ruby) rolling chassis with refurbished engine might be purchased for making an Ulster (ish) replica.
