Hi, I'm new on the forum, I'm from Italy and I have a Renault 4 TL Savane 956cc from 1989.
I've put a Solex 32 Dis instead of the classic Zenith 28 if v05086.
I know that the carburettor comes out of a Renault 5 but I don't know the engine type.
I wanted to know if the jets of the carb work fine with my engine because sometimes it has voids when accelerating.
Main jet 117,5. Air compensating jet 140. Idle jet 40. Choke tube 24.
I've put a new air filter and the kit to the carb so it's not a problem of "oldness" or dirty carb.

Thanks in advance.

Had you checked the vaccum pipe that goes to the distributor? Is the timing set properly?

The carb has a predisposition for the vaccum pipe, but the hole was blocked.
With my mechanic we "unlocked" the hole and now it's ok, then we set the timing.
It hesitate sometimes with "partials accelerations".

Settings for the R5TL (956cc) with the 32DIS carburettor are the following:
Main jet 120
Air correction jet 170
Idle jet 37
Acceleration pump jet 90
Accelerator pump stroke 7mm
Float height 36,5mm (gasket face to lowest point of float, with upper cover turned upside down and gasket installed).

Thanks Angel, that's the information that I was trying to find, I will try to change the jets and then I'll see

Ok, I've changed the air correction jet and the main jet, now the car run smoothly without voids.
Thank you very much Angel :)
