Speedo light.

Hi all. My speedo light on Ronnie has gone dim. 1985 R4 basic car.
Do I have to take off the dash to get at the offending bulb, wherever it is . Everything else appears to be wiorking. What bits do I need to get to take over with me to repair things.
Can I get at the offending bits without removing the dash ?
Any advice gratefully received. Thank you

You'll have to take the undertray below the steering wheel off. That'll give you visual access (torch needed). Once you've located the bulb, you might be able to remove/replace it without removing anything else - it's a twist fit. Definitely a 'third eye' job, and hard with arthritic hands - but not impossible. Also hard on the back....
