Starter motor anyone?....

Hello everyone

Reg's starter motor has started sticking :eek:

Is there any one in the Herts, Beds, Bucks, or Essex area that would have a spare one that I could buy?

Buy a new one Chris. You are welcome to any of a half dozen old ones up here, but they never seem to last long after Frederick's starter motor cure. I gave up messing with them and put a new one in Ermintrude. The engine now turns at a fantastic speed on starting.

Motor factors would probably be the first place to ask for a replacement. Might be looking at £80.

I didn't bother with a second hand one either for BB, for the hassle it took I'd rather do it once properly than twice with lots and lots of swearing.

I just ordered one through my local motor factors and they got me a genuine Lucas exchange next day for around £75.
