Hi all,

Advice needed,

Can some one point me in to the right place where I can find a canvas top (sunroof) for my 1979 R4.
I can made one locally in South-Africa bat I don't have a sample or right measurements.
If it is possible I would radar buy the top as a complete unit or if possible just the canvas part and use my old brackets.

To be honest I think it will be cheaper to have a new one made locally.
If you can give me your vehicle's type number ( R followed by 4 numbers or 3 numbers and 1 letter found on the oval plate located under the windscreen under the bonnet ) I'll have a look if Renault still has them.
You could take a look at the list of suppliers on this site. There should be 2 in Germany that have a good range of parts.
Normally only the canvas part is supplied as the metal parts are considered to be re-usable.

and as far as I remember, it's the only place you can find it ready-made.
As it is a very simple construction, I would agree with Blacksmith, a local trimmer would not have any problem fabricating it.
