Tailgate problem

The right hand tailgate hinge on Fifi is a loose fit on the part attached to the car, I have removed the pin and it seems fine with no apparent wear as it is the same thickness all the way along but there is some play and of course it rattles and squeaks over bumps of which there are many here. Anyone any ideas of a cure, the opposite hinge is fine.

Is the bootlid seal perished perhaps? A new one did wonders for our old GTL.

Tailgate

This may help although it wont get rid of the hinge problem, I can't see why just one has worn so much unless its slightly out of line.
