Who needs a tractor when you've got a Renault 4?

Logging photos look great - do you do the cutting or does that tractor in the background have a circular saw?

Yes, it's we two that do all the felling, cutting, stacking and transporting home. That tractor in the background is one of our neighbours collecting his wood. At home we cut it into a third of a metre lengths and split it all. Then we stack it to dry for another year. We are so proud of our neat well-stacked wood pile that it'll be a pity to burn it!

..Very impressive Bluebell..

..But it looks as though we have bigger trees over on this side of France - Over here we cut our logs when the trees are a half of a metre diameter!!
