Looking for the 'grommet' type of windscreen washer jet please.
Anyone know a supplier?

Spent an hour trying to get hose onto end of a bolt-on system with bruised and cut hands.
Got the not on fairly quickly but then not enough play for my stubby fingers to locate the tubing over the end!!

Any assistance appreciated.

Remember this problem from long ago the grommet gets perished and due to the almost right angled bend in a tight space it is really pain especially with stiff clear piping
Getting hold of correct parts is best bet where from not sure as most push in renault types won't adjust to correct angle to hit screen

It appears Der Franzose do them as Part No 85110 at Eur 8.31.

It looks like it is only washer jet without grommet.
Did you check with them is grommet included?

If you need only washer jet i can send you one (without grommet)...used but functional

Hi Petak
Thank you for the offer. I will get back to you on that.
I have not contacted Der Franzose as yet.

Tom

Not a problem

I have started to avoid franzose.de because shipment to Croatia is ridiculously expensive.
They would charge me 34,90€ for shipping one washer jet. (parcel up to 1 kg)

This is what worrries me about shipping charges outside UK.
I am looking at modifying something and seeing is I can get it to work OK first

Der Franzose answered my question.
Jet only and grommet is not available.

Thank you Tomcat for answer.... i was afraid this was case.

I have three original washer jets but no grommet in good state to use it.
rubber is started to deteriorate and turn to crumbles, and washer is not hold securely in place

Last time I used the grommet from clio screenwash bottle pump similar size and shape with a jet I found in my collection not sure if it's right diameter for R4 jet

Can anyone tell me how high above the bodywork the jet protrudes please.
The standard replacement with nut seems too low to me!!

I've used random grommets from a multi-pack before and they have worked OK with the screen wash jet. You can get all sorts of multi-packs from eBay these days for cheap.

Thank you for that suggestion.
On purchase there was no windscreen washer jet there just an empty hole!!

Hi, I removed the washer jet, it was useless, and heat hardened hose and started again. New hose, but I fitted a rubber grommet to the hole in the scuttle. I passed the hose through it and fitted a tee-piece. Then I fitted two hoses to that and fastened them with cable ties to the wiper arms and blades, making sure there was enough slack for the sweep of the blades. I then used a hose connector cut in half at the end of each hose, and finished off by pushing the tee-piece through the grommet. This works a treat, not original but what the heck! I can post a photo if that would help.

Regards, Brian.

Hi Tom, I'm just going to try to download a couple of pictures. By the way, the parts for this little job came from Holden Vintage and Classic. DSC_0270.JPG DSC_0272.JPG I'm not sure what the purists amongst us will make of this, but it works well.

Regards Brian.

Hi Brian
Thanks for pictures.
Interesting arrangement certainly

Yes, not to everyone's taste. Holden do a nice range of washer jets too if you want to be more original.

Regards, Brian.
