Back in 1985 I was offered a left hand drive Renault 4 Van for £100 next idea was build a replica plein air
2 weeks later the angle grinder was in action 6 months later I had a 1300 5TS engine and gearbox installed by 1992 I had loads of Renault 16 TX engines lying around and a quick measure up decided I could make it fit once I converted it to right-hand drive using Renault 5 Mk1 pedals and brake servo
1300 4-speed Renault 5 gearbox didn't last very long I decided to use 5 Gordini floor change gearbox and modify the front cross member also the bigger brakes and anti-roll bar
1993 it's got a fresh coat of yellow paint ready for Sion Park Rallye Renault event
I then used it every summer right up until will I sold it to Brian Whiteside 2-years ago to enable me to finance finishing my rodeo Project
Brian has since restored it which was always my plan one day
