Decided to start a new thread on my strip down, clean and rebuild of the Zenith 32IF 7 - V10417 carb fitted to my 845cc Billancourt F4 van.
Basically starting difficulties prompted this work. I had done some research and through information on here and some videos on Youtube for a 32IF 2 model I had got a good idea of what was involved.
My initial plan was to get the carb rebuilt professionally by Carburettor Exchange at Leighton Buzzard. £150 price tag and up to 12 week period meant I had to put Plan B in place. To state I have used Carb Exchange many times over the years and found them very good.
So with a rebuild package off Ebay I started over the weekend.
Gave the carb a 'first' clean to get rid of some of the dirt.

Had obtained another 32IF 7 carb as a 'spare' but this was a V10410 model with certain differences.

I usually find the satisfaction levels of doing it yourself worth more than double the price of paying someone else to do it for you and also takes away the ‘black art ‘ aspect of what you set out to do:)
