These kind of turbo's are also very popular and I know the dutch 2CV burton club use the IHI on the small 600 cc engine, with good result.

I am interested in the newtype of Garrett Turbo's and I also find some support from the specialist ETT, it's close to where I live and I can buy a GT 1241 for about 200 euro, which is very cheap.
Now that there is already a 1400 injection engine inside and enough power for the R4 to drive easily 150 km and the goal is to immediately with the same compression at low revs to have a good boost and optimum fill, the turbo pressure will not exceed 0.5 bar what already is significant and also more economical driving.The norzelring opening (the crack in the turbo House where the exhaust gases continue) is fairly small, so in the GT 12 the exhaust gases goes with high speed along the turbine wheel and so fast on touring.
The compressor wheel also has a pretty great prosperity which already ,at low turbo speed,can make much airpressure.

I have not mutch knowledge about turbos, just stumbled upon that eBay auction and thought, that could be of interrest for your project.
Sounded like a very good deal to me.
But you are all set as I can see. That's good.

It is for sure a very good deal, so thanks again!
In any case I'm happy with your help and your suggestion, because thanks to the help of others, I come a long way. Certainly with projects, which has never been done before, such as the installation of the super5 injection and now a modern turbo for a lower consumption.

In addition to the Garrett GT 12 and the R5 GTT manifold, I still have some parts to collect for a good conversion and that itselve is already fun!
It is all experimental, but so far I am very satisfied and I will also open a new turbo-page with the progress on my website, and I will post here,when it is so far.
 
So next to the R5GTTurbo manifold and GT 1241 , I bought this weekend a secondhand GTT intercooler, tubes, airfilterbox and elbow/downpipe for my project.
So my R4 will feel confortable with all the Renault parts :D

Also the elbow of a GT 15 turbo from a Renault Megane will fit.
