Hi out there in need of cilinder head For r5 engine as my head right hand stud hole as broke away we’re it holes the
Water pump

The 1400 cylinder heads are very rare. Do you have a photo of the damage? Maybe there could be another fix.

what metal is the cylinder head made of on 1400cc engine and what is the best way to take the pulley off old waterpump

The head is aluminium. It's really common for waterpump bolts to snap and that doesn't write off the cylinder head.. Maybe youtube for ideas how to extract the broken bolts. It's difficult to make suggestions without photos of the problem.

Doesn't the pulley unbolt from the waterpump?

No pull off need new one as back v grove as 2 cracks in it

The inner pulley on my R5 TX with the dual belts came already attached to the new waterpump. I don't think it is removable.
