Battery cut off switch

Gentlemen. I am thinking of installing a battery cut off switch to my R4. I will position it on the bulkhead to the right of the engine (from drivers position). I will need to extend the battery lead from the battery to the switch, and then use the existing loom to connect from the car to the 2nd pole on the battery cut off switch. What size (diameter) of cable do I need for the wire from the battery to the cut off switch. I think its about 110cms long. The engine is the 845cc, 4 speed, 1985 yr of construction.

You can get isolators that go directly onto the battery terminals, had one on my old fairway taxi years ago

The isolator on the battery seems the best idea.The big red handle cut switches are more for use in comp cars to turn off the power quickly the key is so common it would not be much use for security.
