Battery Life

Seeking member's thoughts on battery life expectancy.
Rarely used vehicle but regular trickle charging.

Should last for several years. I last changed the battery (Bosch S3016) in 2015. I put on the trickle charger a few times over the winter. The car is garaged all the time, and only put on the road in the summer months.

I have had mine for just on 3 years and there was not enough in it to spin the engine.
"Vanessa" is garaged too. My recovery mate turned up with his starter box. First time.
So have uprated battery purchased now. Changed the battery terminals as well. First time.

Rule of thumb for me is 6 years if it's used regularly; much less if it is allowed to go flat.

Yes indeed, cars should be driven and not standing still.
