Citroen ingenuity?

Has anyone seen this before..

Last week, Michael's TA windscreen shattered while travelling back from France but he managed to get all the way back home to sunny Cambridgeshire because of the ingenuity of the French Citroen windscreen manufacturers...

How did they manage that? A different type of heat treatment in that patch, perhaps?

Wow - only on Saturday when the sun was shining on my windscreen, I noticed a round rainbow effect in exactly the same position.

Now I know why... that is great.

Do you drive a TA too only an r4 screen does not do this

I have a '57 AZU and definitely saw the ring on the drivers side.

I don't think I will try it out to test it though
