convincing a wishbone bush into a wishbone

Hi,
Any tips on how to get the bushes into the wishbones? Ive placed them in a vice and tried to squeeze them in but not a budge. Do I just need a bigger vice I wonder? Just wanted to check it not a case of having to heat something before I go off looking for someone with a big vice and a long bar.

Hi Nicky,

You are probably pushing against the inner steel ring. Then you are just pushing the rubber in.
Try and find a socket that will fit into the hole in the wishbone and that will push against the outer ring of the bush.
And put some copper grease on the outer ring ant try again with the vice it should work now.

Ahah. a smidgin of grease and the removal of a bit of paint in the hole and we have progress. Thanks.
