Hi . I have a vague idea of what these markings stand for but I'm not sure could someone tell me exactly what they stand for.

Hi . I have a vague idea of what these markings stand for but I'm not sure could someone tell me exactly what they stand for.

I'm also not exactly sure, but here's what I think: DF4-61 is the part number, 18 degrees is the dwell angle and I think that 10 degrees might have something to do with the vacuum advance. It's an electronic distributor.

I've never heard of a dwell angle as low as 18 degrees, although I'm willing to be corrected if anyone knows better... Generally they're of the order of 40-60 degrees in a four cylinder engine. Might I tentatively suggest that 10 degrees is the static timing point and that the vacuum advance is a further 18 degrees?
