I am about to order parts from franzose.de but I have some questions obout door seals. Any help is appreciated.

Ok, here is the first type. It goes by the meter and it is hollow type.
http://www.franzose.de/en/Renault/R4/Tueren-vorne-hinten-Anbauteile/ANR87050/

This is a set for 4 door and from what I can tell from the description it is the same like the first one?
http://www.franzose.de/en/Renault/R4/Tueren-vorne-hinten-Anbauteile/ANR87205/

This one is for the rear door, the upper part of it. It has a different profile, is this ok?
http://www.franzose.de/en/Renault/R4/Kofferraum-Anbauteile-Hecktueren/ANR87203/

And this is the bottom.

My question is which of those to buy?

Have looked at the same thing at franzose.

I am planing to go for links no 2, 3 and 4.

If you buy no1 by meter it is much expencive.
There is nearly 14 m of rubber for 4 doors

I bought my door seals from comptoir carrosserie, they work fine, tender rubber, do not try the rear bonnet compatible seal set, buy the "like orignal" one, the former is quite unusable. Learned on my error.

Has anyone bought any of these from Der Franzose ? I am wondering if its any good and worth ordering the boot seal from Der Franzose or not ?

Many thanks,
Andrew

Well this is it :)

niiiiiicccceeeee!

What it is in those small bags?

Let us know if these door seals fit well, their shape looks slightly off the correct one.

Any chance you could do a side by side comparison of an original seal and the new seal. As I bought some seal from somewhere else and its a bit small to fill the gaps !

Many thanks,
Andrew

That's ok!

I was just wondering how wide the seals is compared with the width of the solid seal on the car at the moment (Just so I can compare the seal I have with the solid seal for a fair comparison)

Also is the seal for the bottom of the boot any good (Can't quite tell from the photo) ?

Regards,
Andrew

Going back to the old chestnut of door seals . Which are the best and where can I buy.

doorseals from franzöze

Going back to the old chestnut of door seals . Which are the best and where can I buy.

**i did buy door seal set for 4doors+tailgate+tailgate lower seal.

others fit quite well but the lower seal do not fit very well.

..at least all doors shut like safe door

I bought the tailgate bottom seal as well. Its too deep and sticks out when the tailgate is shut. I will have to cut it back.

I bought Franzose boot seals and they fitted well, just make sure you test the fit before glueing and you'll want to devise some clamping initially but they'll 'shape' into place quickly with boot closed, I was nervous they wouldn't fit from reading about others woes but nope all good!

I'm about to order door seals for the 4 doors, plus seals for the boot door. Could someone advise on which glue is best to use for these seals, please? I intend ordering the following seals:

http://www.franzose.de/en/Renault/R4/Kofferraum-Anbauteile-Hecktueren/ANR87204/

Is this the right glue to use?

Thanks for your help!

Good stuff

Wurth sells glue that is ideal. Even comes in a little pot with brush, very handy. Not cheap though, about 8 pounds for 150ml but it does 2 cars

Thanks, Melc. I've just sent an equiry off to Wurth for a price on their glue... plus postage.
