F4 tailgate removal

How does the F4 rear tailgate come off? Mine doesn't seem to want to lift off it's hinge pins but I can't see any fasteners. There might be obvious fasteners but I've needed new glasses all year and I can't feel any. Can someone point me towards them?

Mine had a nut on the bottom hinge, undid that and little bit of WD40 swing it backwards and forwards as you lift it and off it came :-)

The bottom of the lower hinge looks more rusty than the other edges of the hinges. It's a 1987 build. I shall try sticking allen keys in there.

yes my bottom hinge was more corroded than the top, but some WD40 and a wiggle and eventually came off, 1987 also :-)
