I would like to mount rear and front fog lights; I have found those on ebay:

I think I will mount the front ones on the bumper, to the two central bolts, using two L pieces. Somewhat dangerous, a little error parking...
For the rear one, I have a few holes at the end of the floor, but I do not know how to put in (and keep while fixing) the nut... or I have to fix it to the bar that hosts the bumper? it has a hole... but is on a vertical surface, I will need a L ...

I hope I had explained quite sufficiently, I could do some photo...
I would be grateful if someone could explain (and post saome image) to make me understand what I need to do...

Thanks.

Hi,

I think, here is a nicer rear fog light:

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/CLASSIC-REAR-...arts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item33638daf61

That´s more suitable for your classic car.
You can hang it under the rear bumper. As to the placing of front fog lights, there should be some problems. If you fix them on the front bumper, may be they can collide with the opened bonnet. If you hang them under the front bumper, they should fall to victim of a street curb or an other roadblock.
You will need some suitable switchers except the lights, if they are not in your car available. There is useful to wire the front lights through a relais in the board net.

The solutions in the pictures of members are welcome

Greetings from sunny Prague Pavel

Are you suggesting to make a hole on the rear bumper to secure the light? I thought to use the hole on the second bracket (from left) of the bumper... i will need a L shaped piece to secure the lamp...
I prefer the circular lights; This is more classical (and cheaper):

For the front one, all my doubts concern the problems you enlighted. The 2 solution I found were to put the lights in front of the bumper, but doing so they will touch any obstacle before the bumper, so it loose its protective role, or to put them on the bonnet, under the grill, making two holes near the hinges... but I do not like making holes...
It is a difficult matter, I would like to have suggestions (and photos, too) from other users who have already solved the problem...

Of course, you can screw or weld an L piece to the rear bumper bracket. I thought, there should be easier to born a hole from the lower side of the rear bumper. Your favourite round rear fog light seems to be too big. It can hang dangerously lowly, so please check its diameter before you buy it.
For the front additional lights look at some rally car pictures. The other members ideas are welcome!
Regards Pavel :)

I think it should not hang too much. I asked for the diameter, I do not rember now but I think it was about 14 cm... I have also the rear silencer, so any obstacle will hurt the silencer before the foglight... But our cars are quite high, so I think it is not a rear problem...
Every day more convinced to make two holes and mounting the front lights on the bonnet...

I know that kind of grille, there are some apposite grille but they are very rare, many people cuts plastic and makes their own. I do not like, it makes our r4 look like vw golf or the poor brother fiat ritmo (beautiful cars, but nothing to do with quatrelles).
I would like to mount external lamps. I have to go and ask some garage about mounting them on the bonnet, how to make holes without ruin paint (just resprayed...).

I found this beautiful one, it seems to be for a few model including r4, to be mounted on the calandre with a nut, If I understand right the instruction below:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=260734063801
But it is only one light... I asked of it has another one, but I am looking for other vendors for the same object. It is not clear what model it is. Any advice? I found this:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dl...akeTrack=true&ssPageName=VIP:watchlink:top:en

But I do not know if it is the same way adaptable for my grill... mounting on the grill will be better than drilling the bonnett...

This one are very cheap...

I wonder if I can drill a hole in the middle of the rear of the lamp and then with some kind of nut secure it on the grill... maybe with a plaque behind the plastic to reinforce...
Or this beatiful ones:
http://cgi.ebay.fr/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=150559467278&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT
But I am not sure how I will fix them... I had another look to the first link I posted this morning, and it says I will need an "ensemble de montage 471 901" for a r4...
