Getting more power from the 1108cc engine.

I own a 1983 Renault 5 TL 1,1 with the 1108cc engine, also known as the 688. This car has been my transportation over the summer and i have really come to love this little car.

Now to the point of this thread:

Is there any way of getting more power from the C1E 688 engine? It has i Zenith 32if7 carb and is as stock as the day is was born. 45 hp and 61 ib ft.

Any of you who have gotten a bit more power out of this engine. I'm am not trying to get 100 hp from this engine, but if you know some tips and tricks please share.

probably not much you can do except polish the ports etc., you could fit a ls/ts motor 1300cc with a weber carb 65 bhp or if you can find one an alpine/gordini engine , near 100bhp.
