Hub Nut Conundrum? Solved

Hi there,

Dumb question but Ive placed one front wheel with tyre on, back on the ground and the other side ive jacked up.

I then put the centre hub nut (23 socket) and do it up but I get to a point and the drive shaft just turns but the opposite wheelwheel does not?

should it still do that with the wheel on the ground?
Does this mean ive done it up tight enough anyway?

Any help much appreciated

yes sprackers, both wheels on the ground,unless you have someone to put foot on brake. mike

Cheers Mr Mick, I forgot about that had my old man looking on so put him to good use, although he did get the wrong pedal to begin with.
