Insurance for french-registered R4

Hi chaps,
Felicia's insurance is due for renewal - do you know of any UK insurers who will not mind the fact she is still of French plates?

Hi Tom, you could try Richard Hoskins Specialist Car Insurance. Not sure if they accept French reg cars but worth asking I suppose, and I've been with them for years, nice people to deal with.

You'd be better off trying for French insurance!

You do know that if the vehicles been here for longer than 6 months then it should be uk registered?

They know when it came in and can confiscate your vehicle!

Pepper is right. Really if its here permenantly it should be uk registered. I think it might be difficult to insure with a UK insurer otherwise.

Might well be easier to get uk registration unless you are spending any length of time in France?

My understanding is that if you are resident in the UK you have to have UK plates.

^ Agreed with Bluebell. As far as I can recall, if you are UK resident then the car should be UK registered. Otherwise, if the car was registered in France it would need to spend more than six months of each year 'at home'.

In all fairness, getting a UK registration isn't particularly difficult anyway.
